The new 411.000.11.130129 firmware version for Smallart U2 is available for download. Download link here and a mirror link here. 
Installation: download the new firmware, change the name of the update file into update.img and save it in SD card. Update last like 5 minutes, so be patient.

Overview  
PiPO U3 sports a DualCore 1.6GHz Cortex A9 processor with an excellent QuadCore Mali400 graphics, it has a 1GB of DDR3 RAM and 16GB of Storage. It also have a QHD Screen resolution (1024x600) with an IPS Screen Technology that boost the screen's crispness and vividness with a great visibility at such high angles.

It has a single loudspeaker which provides good sound quality and clarity. It offers all the casual user interface ports like a micro-USB with Host function, a 32GB max. micro SD Card expansion slot, and mini-HDMI out that the first PiPO U series product lacks. It runs on latest JellyBean 4.1.1 OS with unique PiPO Tablet UI, very smooth and responsive. A decent WiFi B/G/N connectivity. And of-course, a good Dual Camera availability. Front is 0.3MP which is good enough as a WebCam for video calls and the Rear Camera is a 2.0MP, decent enough for capturing photos outdoor during day.  The 3G connectivity is a big plus.

i have been working on this for so long but yet to release anything but screenshots (i know that). i am just a human, with two hands, one brain, but lots of ideas and things wanna mod, including the real bravia engine of course. so...

anyway, below shows the recent updates. hope you will like it

Rikomagic MK802IIIS 8BT 20130118 firmware upgrade procedure

Hello everybody.
In today's post I'll show you how to flash / upgrade your Rikomagic MK802IIIS Android Mini PC. First of all, you'll have to install Rockusb v2.0 Driver on your PC. If you have Windows 8 you better folow the procedure presented in this video. The driver and the RK Batch Tool can be downloaded from here.



Next, download the latest Rikomagic firmware version 20130118 from here or from here. 
Now you have to put the MK802IIIS in 'firmware update mode'. For that, you have to run RK Batch Tool, prepare a thin metal stick, press the recover button by the stick according below method, connect the unit with computer through the USB OTG port, not the power port (Micro USB to USB cable), hold it for 3-5 seconds and then loose the stick.


This procedure will cost 3 minutes so please wait patiently, during recovery/upgrade, don’t remove the USB cable. When the final prompt window appears, then means recovery is successful, pull out USB cable, then total process is finished. 

First turn on the unit after recovery/update will cost more long time, and even occur some lag issue, it’s normal since internal applications file need to be decompressed and occupy RAM, after 5 minutes, then system running well. So don’t worry about that. If you get stuck, may consider to restart the device.



Rikomagic firmware version 20130118 Fix list:

1. Fixed MAC address changeable issue;
2. Added WIFI hotspot function;
3. Improvied USB connected with PC method:
power on the stick-->setting->select "usb connect with PC"->power off,pull out the stick.
Then connect the stick with computer,stick will default USB Slave method.
4. Flash first partition from 504MB changed ot 1.23GB.
